Virgo cluster

Cosmo-ufes members have access to the local Virgo cluster, which was funded by FAPES and administrated by Renan Alves de Oliveira. At the moment Virgo features two identical nodes. We are adding a third node. For more informations see the slack channel virgo-clutester and the GitHub repository.

Specifications:
2 x AMD Threadripper 2990WX (32/64 physical/logical cores) with 128GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage, 4TB of HDD storage.
The nodes are connected via 10Gb Ethernet. Virgo uses the CentOS Linux distribution with the Slurm Workload Manager.

Thanks to Virgo:
If your work made use of Virgo, it is important to insert a mention to it in the acknowledgements. Here is a suggestion:
  • This work made use of the Virgo Cluster at Cosmo-Ufes/UFES, which is funded by FAPES (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa e Inovação do Espírito Santo) and administered by Renan Alves de Oliveira.
