The José Plínio Baptista School of Cosmology (JPBCosmo) reviews every two years relevant topics in Theoretical Physics. Advanced courses and review seminars focus on the state of the art of the chosen topic. The school is aimed at graduate students.
The 4th edition of the José Plínio Baptista School of Cosmology is devoted to gravitational waves astronomy and astrophysics. The discovery of gravitational waves by LIGO has been one of the major scientific breakthroughs of the last decades and of the history of Physics. The principal authors of their discovery have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2017.
Special Session: In honour of Antônio Brasil Batista on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Previous Editions of the School:
2016: The Dark Side of the Universe
2014: The Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation
